This business was first established in 1923 by Ken's grandfather Albert Brokenshire and David Ross and was operated under their leadership until 1950 when Alex Ross took over from his father David. It was operated from an outlet on Pollen Street
in the southern end of Thames.
Ken's father Colin bought his fathers share and joined Alex Ross in 1967 as his partner until 1969 when Colin became sole owner.
It has always been a business that has trained apprentices in the plumbing industry and still does to this day from a new location in Richmond Street, Thames.
Ken purchased the business from his father in 1990.
Brokenshire & Ross Services Ltd has been a member of the Master Plumbers
Association since 1924.
Also members of the New Zealand Home Heating Association as certified wood fire installers and members of the New Zealand Roofing Association.
Brokenshire & Ross Services Ltd has 6 qualified plumbers and 1 apprentice currently on its staff. They service all of Thames and surrounding areas, both on the Hauraki Plains and over the hills to Pauanui, Tairua and beyond.
